Ah, dunno... Never had any 2.6 around here. I went from Solaris 1.0 (er,
something, with SunOS 4.1.1_U1) on a Sun-3/260 and Solaris 1.? (SunOS
4.1.?) on Sparc-1 to Solaris 7. I could fire up the old Sparc-1 with
Solaris7 on it, but we'd probably die of old age waiting... still not 2.6
You're right. I should have qualified my answer.
OTOH, the OP confirmed that all named tools worked fine (on his 2.6?).
