You should use jumper settings for the ID according to the slot. Some
people will say this is not necessary, but I had a situation once on
an SS10 where it was necessary else the drive was not working.

Okay, do you know whether the SS10 is still working? Try to check
whether the cables and connectors are seated properly.

I think you have to use the jumper of the adapter, but I am not sure
there. Try out both.
Oh yes: a minor gotcha: Did you bother with termination? This is
always an option for non-working drives. Though I doubt it in this
case.
