    Thanks for your tip. Doing the search for "nic visa solaris 2.6"
    I do not get any hits. But a search for "gpib visa solaris 2.6"
    gives me hits. In the download file NICVISA_.TZ are contained
    several packages. Which one contains the GPIB driver? Looking
    at the license I think that the driver is not intended to be used
    "standalone"???
