Yes, but the E4500 had powered down, and the V1280 was still
running, so I'm pretty confident they didn't get damaged other
than a little accelerated aging through the high temperature.

The FC-AL and SCSI disk drives I've experience with have pretty
high shutdown temperatures, between 155F and 176F.
Usually, they're anything from 20F to 35F above
ambient, so even at 120F the OP's probably fine.
