Must be some US thing ;) The T3 is simple to configure, and there is
no magic in the serial port. Plus, if you've upgraded the firmware to
3.x, Sun moved all the fun commands behind a service password, so its
even harder to shoot yourself in the foot.

Yes. Albeit the referenced manual is also quite good.
