Hi, hoping some of the gurus here can help me as i have no experiance
with Suns. I acquired an old Ultra 1 with no hard disk. I'm trying to
net-boot an installer, install Solaris 8 on an NFS partition, then boot
the installed OS. Most guides to net installs seem to assume i have a
HDD but no CDROM...
I have tftp, rarpd, bootparamd and NFS installed and my /etc/bootparams
looks like this:

doorstop root=192.168.1.1:/share/solaris/Solaris_8/Tools/Boot \
install=192.168.1.1:/share/solaris/Solaris_8 \
rootopts=:rsize=32768 boottype=:in

doorstop is the ultra, 192.168.1.1 is debian sarge

It gets as far as loading the initial tftp boot image and retriving
something over NFS, it says 'SunOS 5.x' some other stuff flies past too
fast to read and it reboots back to an ok> prompt.

Any ideas what i'm doing wrong?

The same procedure with a debian image over tftp results in a debian
installer, but even with that i don't know how to install to nfs and
set it to boot from that. Any suggestions welcome.
