            Having read the responses to this point, I have to ask:
    *Why* do you want it to be diskless?

            For Solaris 8, you can install it on a 9GB drive, and an 18 GB
    drive should give you all the elbow room you need. (Solaris 10,
    however, seems to require a 36 GB drive with reasonable partitioning. :-)

            And 18 GB SCA drives show up on eBay all the time, as do 9GB
    ones.

            You'll also need a Sun "spud" to mount the drive in the
    system chassis.

            The first drive with a spud found on a quick eBay search is a
    "Buy it Now" at $39.00 (Plus $19 S&H fee -- you have to look out for
    those). This one is auction #5177412321.

            You can certainly find the drives for less, but then you might
    have to order the spuds separately, and this is probably easier.

            Here is the search string which I used:
