As far as I know it is not a given that these would be lies
or FUD *even* if the partnumbers are the same as the devil
is sometimes in the details:

        - part number revisions (the hardware handbook is full
          of "CPU at xxx MHz requires rev -0x or later of the
          motherboard)
        - thermal (other case, different fans?)

There are also cases were "not supported" simply means
"not tested"; and that it works in some cases is not a guarantee;
e.g., the reason that Creator3D is not supported in the U80
is not because it never works but because it is known to fail
under certain workloads.
