Could be - Havent done this since Y2000. Things change.

It WAS true back then. Anyway the postinstall script was what I was
referring to which again as I recall updates /etc/path_to_inst amongst
other
things and did tests based on OS version and 10 certainly
wasnt on the list - neither was 9 back then. I made the adjustments
for 9 but the SunPCI card didnt function correctly. If you got it work
on 2.3.2 bully for you.
