I'm absolutely certain. The two things that were much faster were C++
compilations and browsing the web. Kick-ass referred to my perception
of the machine then, not now.
Nowadays I don't find my dual 750mhz sun blade 1000 particularly
fast. My dual 1280mhz us-IIIi based SB2500 is "alright" and my
favourite machine is my powermac dual 2.7ghz (although to be fair it
does not run solaris).
