Do you get any error messages with dmesg when you load the driver?
Do you have the right type of protocol driver enabled?
Do you use kernel 2.6 or 2.4? (keep in mind 2.6 is still quite unstable for
sparc).

I doubt there will be any difference here, just that you have to pay more.

Few here uses linux and on linux newsgroups few uses sparc, better to hang
around your distros sparc maillist, forum or/and irc-channel.
