HI,

This is very frustrating: I have 8GB of compatible Kingston memory (two kits KTS7050/4096) and if I install the 2 kits, the machine does not boot. It just sits there, fan at full speed and doesn't do anything else... I assumed it was performing memory checks and give it a couple of minutes, but after 15 minutes, still nothing... If I put only one kit in (any of the kits), then it boots just fine... Does anybody have any suggestion?
PS: My OBP is at the latest, mem diag is set to min per Kingston's recommendation.
Just a wild guess, do you have one or two processors and what processors?
It is not that you have only one processor and adding memory that is attached to the second processor which is not there?
