multiple attached storage

Hello,
I am replacing a pair of SunFire V240 which run a WebShop (apache),
as the CPUs are not fast enough any more.
The old configuration is one running, one in warm standby.
Network Traffic was up to 80 MBit/s, which was the limit on the
firewall, too.
I have a pair of new SunFire T2000, new loadbalancer, new firewall.
I have one of them running the website now. The second can readonly
access the filesystem of the website via NFSv4.
The pictures belonging to the website are on a different Server
SunFire 280R with an additional external disk.
Now to the problems:
As the internal storage of the T2000 is very limited (4x 73 GByte)
I need an external storage array anyway.
I have quotes for different fibre channel arrays and a scsi array.
1) What I want to do is to have one filesystem mounted on both servers,
which is accessed by both servers in parallel.
I want to have two (nearly) identical servers, so I can disconnect
one of them for a software / hardware upgrade.
How do I atach the storage array on the filesystem side?
The salesman told me something, but was not very helpful on the
software side.
I do not know which product I need, and I do not know the right
words for what I want.
For the application I do not need a cluster in the "single system
image" meaning (as described by Pfinster).
I would very much like having an extra IP Address, which moves
between the servers, but this could be done by the loadbalancer.
2) Alternatively I could use one of the V240 with internal disks or
an external array as an NFS Fileserver.
But, when I configured CacheFS on the second T2000 it told me,
that CacheFS and NFSv4 do not work with each other.
What is going on here?
3) Alternatively I could use a NetApp filer, or the Sun NFS Server.
Can someone direct me to some documents?
Regards
Andreas Buschmann
