Re: entry level LOM

I'm looking for some entry level 1U rack server having LOM like feature,
permitting me to administer it from a temrinal server at firmware level,
and
even poweron poweroff if available.

It seems the first price for an amd64 system is the 3U, not 1U, v40z
starting
at 6600 EUR in france. Aren't there any cheaper models having LOM ? I
see
Sun Fire V210, but ultrasparcIII isn't supported by my OS of choice,
netbsd.

note. http://www.sun.com/servers/alom.html isn't up to date, v40z is
missing.
note. french Sun Fire V210 page isn't up to date neither. ALOM support
isn't
mentioned.
note. I find sun.com really really slow. is the site java powered ? if
so
they could at least put some dynamic content cache system like there is
for
php ie. eaccelerator.

The following are 1U and based on the UltraSPARC IIe processor:

Netra T1 AC200
Netra T1 DC200
Netra X1

They're EOL, but have LOM and you may be able to find used ones cheap.

The following are also 1U with LOM and based on the UltraSPARC IIi
processor:

Sun Fire V100
Sun Fire V120
Netra 120

They're currently supported models sold by Sun.
