Why is it Sun's problem that your vendor hasn't bothered to certify their
app on S10, despite the fact that the latter has been available for more
than a year?
It is Suns costomers problems in the first place, once they stopped purchasing WS then it becomes Suns which is abit to late don't you think?

The Blade serie of Ws is propbably not going to be possible to sell in the EU after Jun 2006 due to lead issues, then what WS can they sell?

The lack of EDA apps on S10 almost zero(one Synplicity) is causing a shift to Linux since no apps on Solaris X86 either zero!

Im not talking about compatibility here - Im sure it likely IS
compatible.
Im talking support from the 3rd party vendor which wont happen if you
dont follow their prerequisite rules to the letter.
Its always been my experience that tech support will bail on you if you
dont comply.
For production boxes this isnt an option : <

So can or will Sun supply a version of Solaris 9 that you can install
on a T2000?

Or better: can or will the vendor certify their app on S10, which is the
better option IMHO.

In time yes giving that the costumers stay on Sun platforms that is which goes back to S9 on the new U45 and more above!
