Something doesn't have to be used daily in order to be superior.
It's one of those things that when you need it, you're really
glad you've got it.

For example, assuming no performance difference, people don't
benefit daily from using mirrored hard drives. But when a disk
in a mirrored config dies, the benefits of using the mirror
become all too apparent.
