Think APM and ACPI if you believe that the BIOS is merely there to boot
a system. APM was always too buggy for words, and ACPI is a crock of
*** (I'm being unkind to the crock of *** here).

I have yet to see an explanation where people are benefitting daily from
OBP's add features.
