Mounting a V100

Does anyone know if it's really safe to rack a V100 by just screwing
it into the rack using the mounting ears it comes with? I'm sure
things like Netra X1s were OK like this but the V100 is a lot deeper.

(Reason for asking is that I don't have the rack kit, and the
installation guide at sunsolve is a bit vague.)
