Which could mean something or nothing at all at this point.
On what OS version?
You DO have the right connectors and SCSI HBA for this unit right?
You have installed the rm6 packages yes??
Better check that first, or, maybe you'll actually tell us what the
heck
you've done or why you expected anything to work at all.

Then you must be blind. I found:

FWIW the latest patched Solaris 10 has removed some kernel stuff
so rm6 drivers cannot load. Nice work Sun : /
Was it deliberate or an accident?

ok, thanks for your reply, i'll wash my glasses :)
yes, the U10 is under Solaris 8, 10/01. RM6221 is installed (rm6221-fcs-sparc-bin.zip), and yes, i'm using:
- HBA Sun / X6541A / 375-0006
- with 150-1890 terminator on the A1000.
I also installed some requested patches (112126-09)
Strangely, i first got access to the drives, then this message was continuously repeated:
Jan 2 10:37:05 mary2 scsi: [ID 107833 kern.warning] WARNING: /pci@1f,0/pci@1/scsi@4,1/sd@0,0 (sd286):

But it has worked:

so now, i'm trying to understand where is the problem:
- controller is broken?
- battery is broken and it brokes everything?
- ?

I know this is old material, but it will be fine if i can make it work

thanks for help,
