The SO7 CD comes with the patches for Solaris 8 and 9, IIRC.
I keep my systems up to date in any case (which does work
quite well, I must say, as long as you can do the patching
outside working hours); the last time I remember having to
apply patches for an application was when I installed Forte 6.1
on system with the Solaris 8 FCS. My last installation of
SO7 was on a fresh install of Solaris 9 4/03, and I don't
remember having to do any patching (but I was pretty busy
at that time and it could well be that I didn't make any
notes - it's one of the things I tend to forget).
Take care,
