network speed

    I have sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-5_10, and I set up the system network as
    SUNW,hme1: 100 Mbps full-duplex Link Up.

    If IT newtork team set the network speed is different from above. Could the
    system on the
    network, or it show link down or .......

    I want to prove that the network is really 100 Mbps full-duplex. Since
    network team say that
    the network is 100 mbps full-duplex. But my customer are alwarys complain
    the net work is slow.
