I am running in my U30 a pretty old version of Solaris 10: 3/05. Since
I do not have a Solaris contract, it seems all I can do is do the
security upgrades. What should I do then to, say, get improved usb
support and the vold upgrades? Replace my install with a new one?
Download Solaris 10 1/06 and either upgrade your existing installation
or make a clean new install.

Best to wait with (re)install to 10 6/06 due soon, which includes lot's of more updates and ZFS :)

I might do that then. What would be the best way to upgrade it? should I backup /etc and /usr/local (for config files) and userspace and then tell it to upgrade and then see if it changed anything?
