beowulf project ssh problem

Hi hope I am using the correct area!
I am using the debian linux distribution
I need to know if you can run programs on slave/client machines using
ssh protocol 2 without having to type the password every time. Have
tried the man but cant seem to grasp it. Think I need to store the
masters public key on the slaves----is that right? and if so how do I
do that?
