Thanks. I have plenty more research to do yet.....not sure if our SCO
vendor wants us to use their server or not.....
It would be nice to have something easy to install on our Novell server
that has the same small footprint that unix has since I already have
LDAP and IMAP on the Novell server...I just don't want to use
GroupWise........I'll ask around at the Novell groups.
Thanks again for your help.....

> If you're using a version of Outlook 2000 or greater, goto tools | Email Accounts and do "Add new email account" Choose IMAP and configure the client accordingly, as you would a POP client, the only difference really that you see is that your incoming server is IMAP and not POP, the outgoing server still being your SMTP server. The LDAP is configured under the same tools | Email Accounts | add new directory service, add LDAP and provide the srerver name and user credentials if you require authentication. When a user goes to send mail, they click "To:" and then choose the servername you put in for LDAP. You can add the container path that the user will need to search through in the LDAP properties of the client. The client end is easy and doable, find an LDAP product and learn *it* if you're already familiar enough with the theory and then test it.
