Turn off the swap, create a new swap partition, prepare it, turn
on the swap.

It depends on how much memory you have and how heavy the machine
is used. As a guideline, when you start using a lot of swap, it's
time to buy more memory or a bigger machine.

/tmp isn't the swap partition. Usually the swap partition isn't showed
with df.
