You'll want to start with the FAQ file for newsgroup comp.unix.questions.
Then you'll want to locate one of the admin newsgroups that is vendor
specific. CUA being a general newsgroup isn't good about maintaining a
FAQ because there are too many options. Better to leave the FAQs to
UNIX in general and to vendor editions in specific.
rtfm.mit.edu is one of many places that keep FAQ archives.
