Hi,

I seem to have been hit by a restriction regarding the number of
subdirectories within a JFS filesystem.

Currently a directory within a filesystem holds 32766 subdirectories
and I`m not able to cretate new subdirectories in this directory:

mkdir: 0653-358
There are too many links to a file.

I have serched Google on this issue and found only information on the
maximum number of files.

Can anyone confirm that there is actually such a restriction or can
the filesystem be tweaked to overcome this problem?

This is AIX 4.3.3 whith ML10, filesystem lives on SSA.

TIA
