AIX Command Return Codes

This is something that has bugged me for a long time. Does anyone know
where I could find a list of return codes for various UNIX commands?
Every once-in-awhile, like today, I get an odd return code for an AIX
command and I cannot figure out what it means. I assume they are listed
in the header files in /usr/include/... but I have no idea which
commands use which header files either. It would seem there would be a
published list somewhere in the world.

Thanks,

Ed
