Not to worry. The "getty process is respawning too fast" likely is
just referring to serial ports which have live inittab entries
(brought over from the old system), but aren't functional in the new
hardware environment. "pdisable" the offending tty's to start with, or
manually clean up the inittab. Then check that your tty definitions
match physical reality.
