Hallo Michael,
was that the only fileset that was not found and did the others install? I
just checked with an AIX media CD 5765-C34 from 10/2000 there is a
"bos.rte.aio_4.3.3.0.bff" on CD 1. This would qualify as base level fileset.
To find out, what installp actually sees on your CD try an
# installp -ld /dev/cd0 |grep bos.rte
This should list installable filesets on the media. If you do not get any
output the problem is with your CD or with the path (packages are in
/usr/sys/inst.images). If you do get bos.rte filesets check whether the
fileset's fix level (fourth place of numbering) is zero. If that is the
case, check for an existing bos.rte.aio installation on your server and
uninstall it before trying to install it again from CD.
HTH,
Andreas
