    The 390 _is_ much faster ;-) Besides the higher clock rate it's a POWER2...

    Basically, yes, if the remaining hardware is the same or if You at least
    install all drivers for the new hardware...

    BUT: when I remember right the 390 has a different board than the 320 and
    the CPUs are incompatible...

    No, just remove keyboard/mouse. But be sure that under AIX the serial port
    is defined for a terminal...
