If I remember right, you need to set the baud rate to 9600. I remember
doing this and I could see one part at the 112000 rate I had set, but
the other part didn't show up.
If that's not it, I think you have to set the system user interface to
other that CDE with graphical boot. smitty > system environments >
change system user interface. The choices should be CDE, CDE without
graphical boot, and command line.
