Hello,
I have a NIM server on 7144, AIX 5.2. Today I have updated the system
from 5200-01 to 5200-02. I have done via smitty new spot:
Command_to_Execute follows below:
>> /usr/lpp/bos.sysmgt/nim/methods/m_setup -y -S 'master' -i
'spot_ML01' -s 'spot_ML02' -E '/export/nim/spot' -K '350' -H 'rootvg'
Output from Command_to_Execute follows below:
---- start ----
>>>> Creating the spot_ML02 SPOT resource from spot_ML01.
(This may take a while.)
Creating SPOT in "/export/nim/spot" on machine "master" from
"spot_ML01" ...
Restoring files from BOS image. This may take several minutes ...
Checking filesets and network boot images for SPOT "spot_ML02".
This may take several minutes ...
The spot_ML02 SPOT resource was created successfully.
Configuration is complete.
---- end ----
The problem is when I am installing (via NIM) a system from its AIX
5.2 ML_02 mksysb image, installation process stops for a long time on
" BOS install 83% complete : Over mounting /." and after about 9
minutes I have only some errors displayed rapidly in a loop. (it says
something about library file).
I get no errors during resources allocation (mksysb, lpp_source and
spot_ML02). Also when I setting task to be performed on machine no
errors are displayed.
If anyone met similiar problem after AIX update on NIM server and
knows the solution to it please advice what need to be done to correct
the problem.
with best regards,
Mark
