    Thanks for your reply Gary, the way they did this is bs. i.e.
    Installing the way i did it, requires versions of filesets that don't
    appear to be available.

    Problem resolved.

    I called support and they said, to do the following(which I did),
    smitty install_all ->
    enter software location ->
    select the filesets to install, i.e. bos.perf.tools ->
    select true for 'Automatically install requisite software' ->
    select true for 'Process multiple volumes' ->
    then install.

    I did all this before I called and it failed. Mentioned that to
    support, they asked, 'Did you manually mount the cd?' Yes. Support
    replies back, 'You need to have the cd be auto mounted.' Automount of
    the cd was not setup yet as I performed a complete overwrite install
    of the OS on this machine. So, I startsrc'd the automountd(which I
    don't think I needed to do) & cdromd subsystems, redo the above steps
    and wallah, it installs bos.perf.tools and then asks you to insert the
    Disk2 of the set to install perfagent.tools.

    Hope this helps someone else.
