gcc 3.3.1.0 build for AIX 4.3

We download the bullfreeware gcc 3.3.1.0 for AIX 4.3 and installed it.
Unfortunately, when we try to run it, we get an error due to libintl.a not
existing.

I found a gettext binary for AIX 4.3. I copied the libintl.a from there
into my /usr/local/lib, but now I'm getting the message that libintl.a does
not contain shr.o! Help!!

Is there someone that I can get a "good" libintl.a. Do I need a different
install of the compiler??

Also, once I get it running, assuming I do static linking, will I need to
have any runtime libraries on other AIX machines, or it will the created
executables run standalone?
