setting up printer HELP

I am new to AIX and we need a printer for our system. It was already
hooked up through a RAN but since has been disconnected, and i
wouldn't even begin to know where all of the cables go. I have a
parallel port available, but have no idea the steps to go through to
set up a printer. We run AIX v. 4.3, and use WDS-II to run our
warehouse management. Cutting costs has left me without the option of
calling someone in to do this for me. If anyone could give me step by
step explicite instructions on how to install activate and define the
printer in my system it would be greatly appreciated.
