Hi Erri,

blind guess: make sure that the adapter has the latest microcode installed

That error might be caused by a combination of os device driver level and
microcode being not compatible. SSA has always been very aware of the right
combination of microcode and fileset level. Latest recommended host software
levels for AIX can be found here:
http://www.storage.ibm.com/hardsoft/products/ssa/rs6k/aix_levels.html
