vmstat should be ok.

what level of code are you on ? if its 5.1 then bos.acct.5.1.0.52
fixes some sar negative value problems, so just put on the latest
bos.acct.

If you are running 5.2 then make sure you have the latest bos.acct,
bosboot, reboot (if you have installed bos_mp co-reqs/pre-reqs etc for
the level you install)

also, if you are running iostat with sar, then make sure you have
turned on iostat history.

chdev -l sys0 -a iostat=true
