I had worked with Brad Miller years ago tiring to get AIX to boot from EMC
using the power path device (SCSI attached)
We never did get it to work and when you would try and remove powerpath from
the rootvg it would hose the OS and the box would need to be reloaded.
If I were you, I would run the command that removes Power Path from the root
vg and make sure your box will still boot.
