Hi,
I have successfully configured and tested a cluster using traditional
IPAT. I have all my interfaces defined to hacmp on the same vlan.I
created my own standby address 10.10.1.1 for the adapters to
communicate on. Seems to work okay.
I now want to setup a cluster but with using IP aliases. The manual says
I need to have boot and service networks on seperate subnets. Telling
the network guys this caused mass hysteria. They say they cannot give
me another subnet range in the same vlan without laying additional
cables. And they cannot understand how we can have 2 IP addresses on 2
subnets on the same card at the same time without having 2 cables going
into the nic.
How do I explain to them what I need and what they must do from their
side.
Any help appreciated.
