All

i have 2 sites using san mirroring between the two.

thinking about how to provide DR could i create a alt install boot disk
on a box at site A, get the SAN to "move" that disk to a (development)
box at site B and boot my dev box off this newly moved disk. My OS, and
therefore mksysbs, dont change that often so creating the alt boot say
once a month would prove ok for me.

in theory i dont see why not, both machines are the same(p630's), i
know my EMC SAN can do the required disk moves. Im aware of how to do a
SAN boot and do that already, just thinking specifically about the move
of a SAN disk.

anyone tried anything similar and have any comments, i.e. "dont even
think about it" "consider this"

thanks for any comments

Mark
