If the AIX system will be the server, there are some other daemons that
need to be configured and running. Look up dns (server) in the AIX
documentation...to help get you started, here's a cut/paste of some
information from AIX's "Infocenter":

The "resolver" is the server and domain referenced in the
/etc/resolv.conf (and indirectly, /etc/netsvc.conf) on the client. And
no, the client (as some admin's I've worked with believe) typically does
NOT run "named".
