Virtual Server and buffer sockets

Hi there,

I have a P570 partitioned in several LPARs. One LPAR is the Virtual I/O
Server sharing 1 Gigabit to the others.

In order to improve the backup performance, the vendor requires to
modify the TCP socket buffer tcp_sendspace and tcp_recvspace on each
lpar.

Is it possible this change will exhaust the network/cpu resources of
the Virtual Server?

Thanks
Matteo
