I have had the problem that the adapter parameters do not stay set in
SMS. I set it to 100 Full, start a NIM install, it runs slow, look at
the adapter in SMS and it's set back to 100 Half. I upgraded the
microcode and the problem went away.

I have also had the problem that nim incorrectly identifies the
attributes of some adapters and runs very slow, usually hanging on a
622. I set the adapter to 100 Half in SMS and the install completes.

Hope this helps
Steve
