IIRC, even without the HMC the two serial ports cannot be used with HACMP
-- they're strictly ASMI/Console ports.
And be carefull on the ethernet interfaces -- HACMP supports etherchannel,
but not vlan.
I added an I/O drawer to my p550s -- and did the dual 10/100/1000 ethernet
cards as well. I've got 6 fiber cards -- 4 disk, 2 for future tape access;
6 ethernet ports split between two HACMP networks and a two-port non-hacmp
etherchannel for backups currently And I have a 1 GB ESS drive I use for
disk heartbeat.
This is an SAP/R3-Oracle DB server, with a 1.3 TB Oracle database.
(4 CPU, 16 GB, dual 73 GB drives mirrored for rootvg)
Tom.
This system was cheaper than the 660-6M1 it replaced . . .
