Serial communications involve more than just opening a file,
and reading from it, such as baud rate and whether or not you
need to "dial out" via a modem to establish a connection, or
if someone is connecting to your serial port via a modem.
Well, the serial port has already been configured using "smit" for baud
rate and other information.
The port has login turned off.
So now, it is just a matter of "opening the file and reading from it"
I am just looking for a simple way to do this.
