Missed the 2nd Q:

MCA is not supported for Higher levels of AIX. You can check the
IBM-website which level is the highest but, by heart, I think it is 5.1
(not sure ! so check)

So what you buy is AIX level depending.....

Try http://www.rootvg.net/ (Vendors) for stuff for your box....
