to run scripts before system reboot is it the same as putting an entry

/etc/rc.shutdown
cant seems the find the solution..

Yes - just put commands/scripts in /etc/rc.shutdown and they will run
when you issue a shutdown command. I think you should also put an
'exit 0' at the end as if the /etc/rc.shutdown script fails then the
shutdown halts (I *think* this happens anyway).
