newbie with a 7025-F50 trying to install linux

HI all,
I've been looking around and reading all the articles I could find
about clean installing some type of linux on this F50.
I have tried connecting with a keybd, mouse and monitor, but nothing
comes up anymore. Every few boots at the start the AIX login screen
used to come up, but I didn't know the login/password. After playing
around the past few days, this AIX screen doesn't even come up anymore.
Not sure what I did :)
I have tried connecting to serial port 1 with securecrt and all I can
get into is the Service Processor Firmware menu. I don't see any type
of bootup occuring on the console like everyone says I should see (the
words keyboard, mouse, etc..). I've continually hit the 1 key and the 5
key (from the time I plug it in), but I only get dumped into this SPF
menu.
Is there any doc or dummies guide that I can follow to wipe this server
out and start from scratch? Unfortunately I know zilch about this type
of hardware, but I do want to try and take advantage of this quad
processor box!
Thanks.
Ph.
