HI Homey :)
I don't get to that E1F1, I powered it up today (a couple of times
using the white power button and also the menu option), I see it go
through E0A0, E0A*, then it goes to E0E1 and it seems like it hangs
there (it's been there for 10 mins).
Is it necessary to get to this E1F1 stage to be able to boot the unit
off the cdrom? Isn't there some type of bios or something similar (like
the SPF menu) that I can go into to fry this unit and start over?
Thanks,
Ph.

I don't know about loading linux on a F50, but if you are at the
Service Processor Firmware Menu then the server is powered down. You
should be able to power on the server by going into System Power Menu
and then choosing the option to power on the server. Of course you
could also just push the white button to power it on instead of using
the menus. Once it starts booting then you'll eventually see the E1F1
on the LED and then get the "memory keyboard scsi" message and that's
when you push 1 or 5.
